Legacy Firmware Version
What does it mean?
- These are old versions of Sky Box Firmware, it is no longer possible to update or downgrade your Sky boxes firmware to these versions.
- If your Sky box has one of these firmware versions installed on it, your sky boxes firmware is outdated and it is recommended that you update.
What do I need to do?
- When sky release a new firmware update all eligible Sky boxes will be automatically updated overnight, over the course of approximately 2-3 months.
- It is possible that your box may miss the update if it is switched off at the wall overnight, this shouldn’t be a problem as sky periodically broadcast the update signal after a firmware rollout for any boxes which may have missed the initial automatic update.
- Simply leave your Sky box plugged in and switched onat the wall and your box will pick up the update automatically in the background eventually.
- To ensure that your box is updated with the latest firmware and to benefit from any new features or bug fixes which may have been added it is recommended that you perform a “Forced Update”.
